Description of Artwork: This piece was inspired by the movie Field of Dreams. There’s a line that is repeated throughout the movie; “if you build it, they will come”. My interpretation of that line is whatever you put into life, is what you will receive. At the end of my life, I want to look back and know that I lived. I took chances, I went on adventures, I faced that hardship and came out stronger. I never want to look back and have so many regrets that I felt like my life was a waste. I felt like that for too long. I spent most of my childhood feeling depressed and suicidal. I made many attempts to end my life. I was lost and didn’t feel I had a destination. I realized over time that I endured all that pain and survived. I know now how precious life is and want to live it to the fullest. I want to face life with the courage of a lion and I want that for everyone I love too. I want to be surrounded by lions who have endured and kept going, knowing they are stronger for it.
